Pastor Jo

Pastor Jovetia “Jo” Watson, is an ordained minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She is currently the Pastor at Jordan Chapel AME, Denver Colorado.. She has a passion for the Lord. She is a preacher, worship leader, and teacher. She has mentored both women, and men through personal struggles while helping provide realistic strategies to overcome them.

Her God given gifts allow her to connect with people from all walks of life. She believes we must use the gifts God has given us to inspire and serve those who need hope, heal those who are hurting, and to make a difference in the world.

Pastor Watson, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies from Arizona State University. She holds a Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary, Phoenix, AZ. She is currently completing her Doctorate degree at Phoenix Seminary, Phoenix, AZ. Pastor Watson has previously served as a preacher, worship leader, vocalist and speaker at various churches and events. She has served on various boards, and is an advocate for single mothers and displaced families.

Her previous experience includes Chief Executive Officer of a real estate company where she managed 300 agents. She is currently retired from Johnson and Watson Real Estate company. Pastor Watson and her husband Jay Hoselton, have five children and three grandchildren. They currently live in Denver, and have a home in Phoenix Az.

Pastor Watson is first and foremost a daughter of the King. Her life verse is Psalm 63:1-8 “O God, Thou art my God; I shall seek Thee earnestly; My Soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh yearns for Thee, I a dry and weary land where there is no water, 2 Thus I have beheld Thee in the sanctuary, To see Thy power and Thy glory, 3 Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise Thee. 4 So I will bless Thee as long as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Thy name. 5 My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips. 6 When I remember Thee on my bed, I meditate on Thee in the night watches, 7 For Thou has been my help, And in the shadow of Thy wings I sing for joy. 8 My soul clings to Thee; Thy right hand upholds me.”
